Offered Services

Our purpose is to provide the community a space to begin healing after the tragic and senseless act of violence we experienced on August 3, 2019.

Though the El Paso Strong Resiliency Center will soon be open, we encourage the community to get the services they need now, by directly connecting with any of our partners below.

American Red Cross

The organization provides health, mental health and spiritual care for the families and victims of the August 3 incident - by appointment.

Emergence Health Network

Emergence Health Network (EHN) together with Atlantis Health Services and the El Paso Psychiatric Center have established the EPStrong Counseling Co-Op for families or individuals who need a safe space or would like to speak to a behavioral health professional. Professionals are available at several “drop-in” locations throughout the city until August 23, 2019. No appointments are necessary and counseling is provided free of charge. Mexican Consulate

The Consulate can assist with financial aid, humanitarian permits, identification documents for Mexican nationals, and transfer assistance for the deceased.

FBI - Victim Services

If you were injured in or witnessed the August 3 event, you may be eligible for certain services and rights, including special funding to provide emergency assistance, crime victim compensation, and counseling.

Health & Human Services Commission - Community Care Services

HHSC can assist with adult foster care, community attendant services, consumer managed personal attendant services, day activity and health services, emergency response services, home delivered meals, primary home care, residential care, and special services to persons with disabilities.

Office of the Texas Attorney General - Crime Victim Services

The Crime Victims’ Compensation Program helps crime victims and their immediate families with the financial costs of crime. The program covers crime-related costs such as counseling, medical treatment, funerals, and loss of income not paid by other sources.

Texas Department of Public Safety - Drivers License Division

The department will assist those that may have lost a drivers license or identification card.

Providing Medicaid for those that are elderly and disabled. Other assistance services include SNAP food benefits and the Medicare Savings Program.

Social Security Administration

Using the organization’s website, visitors can apply for most types of benefits; estimate future benefits and much more. By calling 1-800-772-1213, you can schedule an appointment with a representative; file for Retirement, Disability, Survivors and Medicaid benefits, or discuss problems you are experiencing with your Social Security benefits.

The County Clerk’s Office will be providing copies of Birth, Death, and Marriage Certificates. The fees normally associated with these requests will be waived for those families directly affected by the tragic event of August 3.

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid

TRLA attorneys are providing free legal services to survivors and relatives of the deceased. TRLA can help with many civil legal issues like establishing heirs of the deceased in order to access benefits; applying for survivor, disability and Crime Victims Compensation (CVC) benefits; and negotiating with mortgage companies, landlords and collection agencies that are demanding payments. Airbnb

Airbnb is providing free urgent temporary accommodations assistance in El Paso and Juarez for those who have been impacted by the August 3 tragedy - this included those physically injured or families of those physically injured or deceased. Support will be provided through Friday, August 16. If you, a family member, or a community member with whom you're working meet the above criteria and require temporary accommodation. After August 16, support requests will be assessed on a case by case basis but outreach can be sent to openhomessupport@airbnb.com
